All references in this Privacy Notice to “Runtech“, “our“, “us” or “we” refer to Runtech Group Limited, or our group companies, as appropriate, as controllers of your personal information. All references in this notice to our “Website” are to the website www.runtech.co.

Runtech is fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) issued by the European Union. We value your privacy and want to be transparent with you in the way that we collect and use your personal information.

This notice applies to visitors to our website and people who contact us with enquiries.

Collection of your personal information and how we use it​

When you visit our Site, we may automatically collect some basic information about you and your visit to our Site, including your internet service provider’s domain name and which pages you access on the Site, and when.

Log files

Runtech follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and this is a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analysing trends, administer the site, track users’ movement on the website, and gather demographic information.

Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of information that we store on your browser or the hard drive of your computer, which allow us to distinguish you from other users of our Site. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our Site and also allows us to improve our Site, for example, by detecting what kind of device you have in order to present content in the best way, for a language switch and/or for other purposes.

Our Legal basis for use of your personal information

We consider that the legal bases for using your personal information as set out in this Privacy Notice are as follows:

  • Our use of your personal information is necessary for complying with our legal obligations; or
  • We will process your personal information in some cases on the basis of your consent, including where you have provided a personal email address or mobile phone number to us and we request your consent to use these details for marketing purposes.

  • The supply of goods and services to you or to the organisation you represent and dealing with requirements and support in relation to these supplies as well as enforcing any contracts we may have;

How and why we share your personal information with others

We may share your personal information with our group companies where it is in our legitimate interests to do so for internal administrative purposes (for example, ensuring consistent and coherent delivery of our Services to our customers, corporate strategy, compliance, auditing and monitoring, research and development and quality assurance).

  • Our service providers and sub-contractors, including but not limited to, suppliers of technical, software and support services, insurers, legal advisers, logistic providers, and cloud service providers;
  • Our suppliers where we act as a re-seller and we need to provide your personal information to them in relation to our provision of goods and services to you (an example of this is where we sell you or your organisation a Zoom licence – Zoom and any other relevant resellers will also need to process your personal data and will be acting as independent controllers not processors – our terms of supply provide more information on this);

  • Companies that assist us in our marketing, advertising and promotional activities;
  • Group companies, who may have access to shared databases;
  • Debt collection providers, enforcement agents and the courts where we need to enforce a debt (this is primarily relevant where you are a sole trader and so personally liable).

We take steps to ensure that any third parties with whom we share your personal information are subject to privacy and security obligations consistent with this privacy notice and applicable laws.

  • If substantially all of Runtech’s or any of its affiliates’ assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal information held by Runtech will be one of the transferred assets;

  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Runtech, our staff, our customers or other persons.

How long we store your personal information

We keep your personal information for no longer than necessary for the purposes for which the personal information is processed. We only hold personal information for marketing purposes for 10 months after the latter of the date we acquired it or our last communication with you. Aside from this, the length of time for which we retain personal information for depends on the purposes for which we collect and use it and/or as required to comply with applicable laws and to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights.

Your rights

Right of access. You have the right to obtain from us confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you are being processed, and, where that is the case, access to the personal data and certain information as required by applicable law. UK.

Right to restrict use of your information: You have a right to have us restrict the way that we process your personal information in certain specific circumstances. Right to stop marketing: You have a right to have us stop using your personal information for direct-marketing purposes. If you exercise this right, we will stop using your personal information for this purpose.

Right to data portability: You have a right to data portability which includes a right to have us provide your personal information to a third- party provider of services. This right only applies where we use your personal information on the basis of your consent or performance of a contract with you and where our use of your information is carried out by automated means.

Right to object. You have a right to object to our use of your personal information where we process your personal information on the basis of our or another person’s legitimate interest subject as more particularly provided by applicable law.

Marketing

We will collect and use your personal information for undertaking marketing by email.  We will always obtain your consent to direct marketing communications where we are required to do so by law (for example, if you have provided a personal email address to us) and if we intend to disclose your personal information to any third party for such marketing.

We will send you certain marketing communications (including electronic marketing communications to existing customers), which may include content offers, surveys event details, where it is in our legitimate interests to do so for marketing and business development purposes.

Runtech is committed to protecting your personal information from loss, theft and misuse.  We take all reasonable precautions to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal information, including through use of appropriate organizational and technical measures.

In the course of provision of your personal information to us, your personal information may be transferred over the internet.  Although we make every effort to protect the personal information which you provide to us, the transmission of information between you and us over the internet is not completely secure. As such, you acknowledge and accept that we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information while it is transmitted in this way and that any such transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your personal information, we will use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorized access to it.

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access our app, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We require you not to share a password with anyone.

Social media and links to other websites

Our Website includes social media features, such as the Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or LinkedIn “sharing” or “follow” buttons; and may contain links and pages to other websites operated by third parties.
